Terms & Conditions

Use of St. Mary Parish Released Inmates signifies agreement with these terms and conditions. A visitor who does not accept them should not access or use the site.

St. Mary Parish Released Inmates is privately owned and is not connected with any government body, sheriff, jail, court, or corrections department. Neither this site nor its advertising partners offers a consumer report or an FCRA-covered service for credit, employment, insurance, or tenant screening. The site is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

Nature of the Service

This private reference has no authority over St. Mary Parish or Louisiana government offices. It stores no official jail, release, court, or corrections records. It cannot confirm custody, order a release, post bond, or file a request or court document for a visitor.

The site points toward public inmate and jail record resources in St. Mary Parish, statewide Louisiana custody systems, and third-party research tools. A link is a route to another source, not a certification of its results.

Acceptable Use Rules

Visitors must use the site lawfully and without interfering with other people or the service. In particular, a visitor may not:

  • Break any local, state, or federal law through use of the site.
  • Use information to stalk, harass, threaten, or harm another person.
  • Make employment, housing, lending, or insurance decisions from site content.
  • Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
  • Deploy bots, scrapers, or automated collection tools.
  • Disrupt, overload, or impair access for others.

No Consumer Reports

St. Mary Parish Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not provide background checks, credit reports, consumer reports, or screening services, and neither do its advertising partners through this site. By using the service, each visitor agrees not to apply its information to:

  • A hiring, firing, promotion, or other employment decision.
  • A lease, housing, or tenant-screening decision.
  • Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing.
  • Licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility.
  • Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA.

External Resources

Links may lead to Sheriff and corrections sites, release records, Louisiana government portals, legal-aid resources, and outside search providers. Those destinations are independent. St. Mary Parish Released Inmates does not endorse or control their content, data practices, price, terms, availability, or security. Review the destination’s policies before using it.

No Warranties

The site and its contents are provided “as is” and “as available.” No promise is made that:

  • Information will be accurate, complete, or current.
  • Access will be continuous or uninterrupted.
  • The service will be free from errors, bugs, or security flaws.
  • A partner search will return a complete or useful result.

Custody status and public records can change quickly. Nothing published here is an official statement by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff, Louisiana DPS&C, a court, or any other public agency.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, St. Mary Parish Released Inmates and its operators will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive loss arising from access to, reliance on, or inability to use the site or a linked service.

Indemnification

A visitor agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the site, its operators, and its partners from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees caused by that visitor’s use, misuse, or breach of these terms.

Intellectual Property

Unless another owner is identified, the text, graphics, logos, design, and code are owned by St. Mary Parish Released Inmates or its content partners. They may not be copied, republished, distributed, altered, or commercially exploited without prior written permission.

Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A revised version takes effect when posted. Continued use after posting signifies acceptance of the new terms.

Suspension of Access

Access may be restricted, suspended, or terminated at any time, for any lawful reason, and without advance notice.

Louisiana Governing Law

Louisiana law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in Louisiana. Public-record access to official St. Mary Parish material remains governed by Louisiana Constitution article XII, section 3 and R.S. 44:1 and following, subject to exemptions.

Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. The affected provision will be limited or adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
